We chose the name HyperTexted because it best described the spirit of what we had in mind: words that connected to something more.

Our inspiration was a term coined way back in the sixties by computer pioneer Ted Nelson. The word hypertext, in a nutshell, was defined as:

Text which is not constrained to be linear.

The first half of the word comes from the Greek word hyper (meaning “over” or “beyond”) and the second from the Latin term textus (used to describe a woven fabric).

And then there’s the modern-day use of the word hyper: excited, extremely active.

All of which resonates with what we’ve set out to do: Weave together stories unconstrained by the medium, transporting the reader right into the heart of your work and vision. Get them excited. Get them to act.

Whether it’s a newsletter article, a blog post or a grant proposal, that’s what we’re focused on. We tell your story to connect and change.

“The four walls of paper are like a prison because every idea wants to spring out in all directions – everything is connected with everything else, sometimes more than others.”
~ Ted Nelson
